BARITONE SAX

Steve began subbing with the Moonlighters in 2012 and became a regular member in 2018. He started playing the alto saxophone in the fifth grade and enjoyed it so much that he played through high school and continued while at Lehigh University studying Mechanical Engineering. Steve grew up in the northeastern PA, but has made the Lancaster area his home since 2004. He lives with his wife, Karen, son, Kyle, and daughter, Michelle just outside Millersville. He works as Sr Manager, Operations for Brookfield Renewable, responsible for the Holtwood, Safe Harbor, and Lake Wallenpaupack hydroelectric facilities. While attending Lehigh, in addition to playing alto, he picked up tenor, bari, and bass clarinet while participating in jazz ensemble, wind ensemble, symphonic band and as a proud member of the Lehigh Marching 97. The Lehigh Marching 97 is a completely student run organization and Steve was honored to have been elected as Drum Major for his junior and senior years. In addition to playing with the Moonlighters, Steve plays with the Flipside Big Band in West Lampeter and is also a member of the Lampeter-Strasburg Community Band. When not playing, Steve enjoys relaxing at home and long distance motorcycle rides and photo-rallies and is a member of the Iron Butt Association (1000 miles+ in 24 hrs).
